The first time of being unemployed

Hi guys, this is my first post.

Honestly, the time when you are not in the same pace as your previous classmates and friends at your age is weird. I go to the gym at a weird time, like 2 pm or 8 pm. I go to the supermarket at 3 pm or earlier. My whole schedule of life is fully under my control but I still feel falling behind.

I don’t think this is a negative feeling. On the contrary, I looked forward to a long holiday for too long. When I was working in Amsterdam Zuid, I was super tired. I found my first and my previous full-time job right after I finished my thesis. Compared to so many expats who can’t find a job in the Netherlands, I am the lucky one, apparently.

Now I get the freedom to use my time. Even better, it is in Europe, not in China. Amsterdam is not a city where everyone is an employee. There are tourists, freelancers, and other unemployed people. My roommate said, in Shenzhen city, you can’t find that many people at work time on the street or in a cafe. In Starbucks, people are talking about their new projects and trying their best to impress their investors or partners. No one is just chill.

I plan to go to that city if I can’t find anything in the Netherlands. I really don’t know what is the next. I want to travel to other places. Not only in Europe. But for me Europe is still not enough.

Is it a good feeling that I still have not unveiled the whole picture of Europe?
